Kimberly Ross Clayson

Kimberly Ross Clayson is the President and a shareholder of Clayson, Schneider & Miller, PC. She has practiced bankruptcy law for more than 10 years. Kim is a member of the Business Law Section and the Debtor/Creditor Rights Committee with the State Bar of Michigan. She has authored articles for American Bankruptcy Institute (“ABI”) publications and has presented authored materials at various bankruptcy related seminars sponsored by the ABI and other bankruptcy law affinity groups. Kim’s business clients include small businesses with a focus on real estate, construction, food service and consumer products. Kim obtained her Bachelors of the Arts degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University with an emphasis in economics. Kim then earned her law degree at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law.

Peter F. Schneider

Peter F. Schneider is the Vice President of Clayson, Schneider & Miller, PC. Peter joined the firm as a law clerk in 2009 and since then has focused on Chapter 7 panel trustee estate administration and litigation. Peter graduated from Wayne State University in 2007 with a Bachelors of Arts in History with a focus on Labor History. Peter went on to earn his Juris Doctor from University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he earned the Dean’s Scholarship for Academic Achievement and the Book Award for Conflicts of Law. Peter was admitted to practice in the State of Michigan as well as the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in October 2011. He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute.

David P. Miller

David P. Miller is an associate attorney and shareholder with Clayson, Schneider & Miller, PC. David joined the firm as a law clerk in 2014, and has been with the firm since. David graduated from Michigan State University in 2012 with a Bachelors of the Arts in English, and cognate studies in Sociology and Political Science. David went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School in 2015. While in law school, David worked at both the Legal Advocacy for People with Cancer Clinic and the Disability Law Clinic as a Student Intern, as well as participated in the Student Trial Advocacy Program. David also worked as Judicial Intern for the United State Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. Since joining the firm, David has focused on Chapter 7 panel trustee estate administration and litigation. David was admitted to practice in the State of Michigan in October 2015 and the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Michigan in November 2015.

Kenneth M. Schneider

Kenneth M. Schneider has practiced in the field of bankruptcy law and debtor/creditor rights law for over 30 years. Ken represents Chapter 7 Bankruptcy Panel Trustees, individual and small business Debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, creditors and Chapter 11 creditors’ committees. Ken graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Wayne State University in 1975 and graduated from Wayne State Law School in 1980. He served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Togo (Africa) from 1975 to 1977 as a school teacher. He began his law career with the Law office of John C. Dougherty as a law clerk in 1978 and an associate attorney from the time of his admission to the bar in 1980 until 1982 and became partner in 1983. Ken was the principal shareholder of Clayson, Schneider & Miller, PC formerly Schneider & Miller, PC until transitioning to his new role as an associate and advisor to the firm at the end of 2016. He is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Detroit Bar Association and the Eastern District of Michigan Bankruptcy Court panel of pro bono lawyers.

Timothy J. Miller

Timothy J. Miller has practiced in the field of bankruptcy law and debtor/creditor rights law since 1984 with the majority of his practice devoted to representation of chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees. In 2005 the Executive Office of the United States Trustee appointed Tim to a bankruptcy panel trustee position for the Eastern District of Michigan. In addition to his duties as a panel trustee, Tim continues to represent individual and small business debtors in chapter 7 proceedings and non-bankruptcy workouts. Tim is a member of the Michigan Bar Association, Federal Bar Association, Consumer Bankruptcy Association, and National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees.
